Forum structure

Two days built around three elements: frontier research, practitioner insight and active problem-solving.

The Forum will be a two-day event designed around three complementary elements: frontier research, practitioner insight and active problem-solving. The format will ensure that discussion is grounded in the best available evidence while remaining closely connected to the practical realities of financing, building and scaling innovation across the region.

Keynote presentations and focused panels featuring leading academics, policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs and industry leaders will establish the intellectual and practical foundations for the Forum's major themes. These will be complemented by curated, highly interactive working sessions in which participants engage across disciplinary, sectoral and national boundaries to examine specific challenges facing the innovation ecosystem.

Small-group discussions and structured working sessions will explore questions including how capital can be deployed to generate greater transformative impact; how breakthrough ideas can be recognised and supported before their potential is fully apparent; how promising innovations can be commercialised and scaled across markets; and how stronger connections across the Indo-Pacific can accelerate the movement of ideas, talent, capital and expertise.

The format is deliberately designed to make participants active contributors to the Forum. Curated working sessions will create structured opportunities for participants to challenge assumptions, share proposals, test potential solutions and bring forward perspectives grounded in their own experience. By drawing together expertise from across research, finance, industry, entrepreneurship and government, these sessions are intended to identify areas of agreement, surface competing priorities and develop practical recommendations for strengthening the innovation ecosystem. In this way, participants will have a meaningful opportunity to help shape the dialogue, influence the priorities that emerge from the Forum, and contribute to the future direction of policy and practice around breakthrough innovation across the region.
