Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne, Australia.
Held in April 2026 at the Crown Conference Centre in Melbourne, Australia, the Forum on Frontier and Breakthrough Innovation brought together leading voices from academia, industry, investment and policy to examine why genuinely transformative innovation is becoming harder to produce, finance and scale.
Through keynote contributions, panel discussions and deliberately curated working sessions, the Forum combined frontier research with the practical experience of stakeholders across the innovation ecosystem. Its objective was to move beyond diagnosis and create a platform for identifying the structural, financial and institutional barriers to breakthrough innovation, while exploring practical approaches to strengthening the conditions in which transformative ideas can emerge and succeed. The Forum generated new insights, connections and priorities for continued research, policy engagement and collaboration across the broader innovation ecosystem.
